Extra Product Information

Joint immobility can affect any joint in the body, particularly knees, hips, fingers and wrists. Symptoms are wide ranging and restricting. It may develop as a result of wear and tear forces on the cartilage, a cushioning material found at the ends of bones which enable free movement of the joint. This joint wear could be a result of trauma (injury or overuse), dietary practises, age-related breakdown and deformity (developmental or genetic). Although the cartilage is not well supplied with blood and lymph vessels and nerve fibres, it does have the ability to repair and replenish itself if the vital nutrients are made available through diet and supplementation. When addressing joint immobility with natural intervention, it is important to address the degenerative aspects and manage ongoing mobility. There are three main nutrients that act synergistically to address all aspects of joint immobility. Glucosamine is an amino-acid sugar glycosaminoglycan compound that is naturally present in bone and cartilage tissue. It is synthesised in the body by the cells lining the intestinal tract. Glucosamine Sulphate is a critical factor in the health of tendons and ligaments and in the replenishment, resilience and elasticity of cartilage in the joints. It is also critical to the synovial fluid which helps lubricate the joint. Chondroitin Sulphate is a glycosaminoglycan an a building block of cartilage. It may also support the cushioning function of the synovial fluid in the joint space and protect against cartilage dissolving enzymes. It may also support arterial health, and cardiovascular function. MSM (methylsulphonylmethane) is a form of biological sulphur. Its effects on joint health is two-fold: it is a source of biological sulphur that ensures cartilage strength and integrity. Clinicians™ Joint Ease Plus is a research-based formulation of nutrients designed to address the cause of and symptoms of joint immobility and stiffness. Follow dosage instructions according to package.
